Homemade Chocolate Cip Cookies with Fresh Milled Flour

Ingredients
  

  • 1 stick softened unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 tsp pink sea salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips

  • 1 medium/large mixing bowl
  • 1 handheld mixer

  • mill grinder for flour

  • parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Mill two cups of wheat berries in mill grinder on "fine" setting and set aside
  2. Add stick of butter to mixing bowl with 1 cup of brown sugar and mix together
  3. Add in two large eggs and mix
  4. Add in 2 tsp of vanilla extract and 1/4 tsp of pink sea salt
  5. Measure out 2 ½ cups of the fresh milled flour and add in 1 tsp of baking powder and 1 tsp of baking soda
  6. Mix in a little bit of flour mixture at a time to the butter and sugar mix until it is well combined.
  7. Add in 1 ½ cups of chocolate chips of choice and mix.
  8. Scoop onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees for 9 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and allow to cool on cooling rack.
  10. Store in an airtight container for up to one week, if they last that long! ;)
